House Calls

We know that caring for horses requires a special understanding of their biology and behavior, and we want you to know that our team is highly trained and experienced when it comes to equine patients. We provide a variety of services for horses ranging from routine care to more advanced procedures. We are happy to come to you as well!

Emergency Service

We know that emergencies happen and usually at the worst time. Don’t worry! We are here for you no matter what time it is. After your call, our dedicated veterinarian will get to your farm as soon as possible. We are here for you during our regular business hours, and we also have a veterinarian on call if the need for a visit arises after hours.

Digital X-Rays

We are proud to be on the cutting edge of medical technology. Radiology is a technique and diagnostic tool we use to look inside the body in a completely non-invasive way. X-rays allow us to create images of all the body’s organs. In other words, the use of radiology gives us a view of the internal organs in your horse’s body that we otherwise could not see. It’s an important diagnostic tool that helps veterinarians detect and prevent illnesses.

Dental

We are proud to offer equine dentistry and provide care for your horse’s entire oral cavity. A horse’s teeth and jaw function are vital to their overall well being, so dental care is an important part of your horse’s health. We provide floating for horses as well as a range of routine to advanced services. Proper dental care will ensure that your horse’s teeth are not causing discomfort, pain, or other potential health issues.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy can be extremely beneficial for animals. Stimulating the muscles can relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and increase microcirculation. The results restore the function and healing within the tissues. There are four areas where laser therapy can be very beneficial to horses. There are several reasons you would apply it to these areas. First, laser therapy can accelerate the rehabilitation and healing of any lameness. Second, it can help your horses maintain peak performance within their athletic disciplines. Third, laser therapy will help prevent any occurrence of athletic injuries. Fourth, it is used as a component of stem cell and PRP treatment protocols.

Gastroscope

When we perform a gastroscopy, we are usually looking for stomach ulcers. Some common symptoms, which are also reasons to have a gastroscopy performed, include lack of appetite, poor coat, teeth grinding, inability to gain weight, and many others. Typically, the horses are just not right, and their symptoms are not necessarily specific. The horses might be a little off or acting like they don’t feel right. Behavior problems can often be a sign of stomach ulcers, though some patients don’t have any signs at all.

Ultrasound

One of the diagnostic tools we use is ultrasound, which creates images of the inner workings of the body. Ultrasound uses sound waves to offer a non-invasive, painless, and radiation-free method of imaging your horse’s internal organs. This is one of the many ways we are dedicated to providing your horse with the best care possible.

Pre-purchase Exams

Pre-purchase examinations are very popular among owners of large animals, especially horses. The examination is not meant to guarantee soundness of the animal, but to see if there are any pre-existing issues or potential problems that may affect the animal either now or in the future. One of the main issues to check for is degenerative joint disease.

Reproduction

Some of the services we provide include fertility services, as well as artificial insemination. We also encourage breeding consultations with our highly trained and experienced team.
